At my first appointment with Mr Pickersgill I was extremely apprehensive, my only experience of surgery was 70 years earlier when I had my tonsils out as a child. Within moments I felt completely at ease and confident. Mr Pickersgill quickly established what my problem was and recommended an operation to remedy my condition. The whole process of having the operation was smooth and reassuring. The pre and post operative care was wonderful. On the day of the operation the whole team were reassuring and in particular Mr Pickersgill gave me as much time as I needed to explain the procedure and reassure me. He ensured that I always felt confident with the whole process and I felt he respected my individual needs. The aftercare, from discharge information to a Zoom post op consultation after two weeks and an eight week in person consultation, was excellent. Throughout the whole process I felt confident in Mr Pickersgill care. I deeply appreciate everything Mr Pickersgill and his team did in caring for me throughout my treatment. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Pickersgill and if the need arose to use his services again.

Mr Pickersgill is the best, years after struggling with endometriosis and adenomyosis and being gaslighted by all drs, I went private and saw Mr Pickersgill and it was the best thing I did. He listened to me, talked clearly through my options and after having a laparoscopy decided I should have a keyhole hysterectomy. That was 8 weeks ago, and it was the best thing I ever did. I am in less pain than before, my scars and hardly viable already and I will never have a horrible period again, hurrah! I would recommend Mr Pickersgill in a heartbeat, and if I ever had another Uterus with problems, he would be my go-to!

Recently had a laparoscopic hysterectomy with Mr Pickersgill and very happy I picked him for my surgery. After being under the NHS Gynae for 8 years with heavy bleeding and pain I was listed for an abdominal hysterectomy. Due to previous botched surgerys on the NHS my insides were a mess and the NHS would only do abdominal. Due to my lack of confidence in the NHS and the long wait I decided to go private and picked Mr Pickersgill. As soon as I met him I felt completely at ease and had full confidence in him. He agreed to attempt laparoscopic and was confident he manage this even though he knew my insides were a mess. As expected the surgery was complicated but he managed to carry it out keyhole which I am over the moon about. I had some complications after my surgery but the care and attention I received from Mr Pickersgill and all the staff at the Alex was outstanding. My recovery is going great and I truly believe that is down to picking an outstanding surgeon. I would go back to him in a heartbeat if I ever had any future issues. He is very down to earth and really makes you feel heard which I haven’t had in the 8 years back and forth on the NHS! Also a shout out to his secretary Gabby who has been great from me first contacting her. Thank you Mr P ;)

Good doctor. He is very simple and gentle in his behavior. He will give sufficient time to each patient. He studies the patient and disease meticulously. He prefers surgery when it is very much required only. I strongly recommend Dr Andrew Pickersgill. I’m wishing all the best to him and to his team.
